What customers say?

“ If you are in the neighbourhood and having difficulty finding this restaurant, just follow the great curry smell and it will take you there. We have ordered a decent size of fish head curry, chicken mask merah, deep fried chicken, clams, lamb shank, 2 types of salad and some other dishes. The bill came up at almost RM40 per pack but I personally think, totally worth it. ”

“ This is easily one of the best Chinese-run Nasi Kandar spots around! The food is absolutely excellent. A unique touch is the owner "Aunty," who speaks fluent Tamil, making the experience feel even more authentic. Just a heads-up: it gets very busy during lunch hours, so be prepared to queue up, but the meal is well worth the wait! ”

“ DELICIOUS FOOD! It's difficult to choose from all appetizing dishes here. Indian-style curries are packed with flavors and fried chicken is the most delicious option. The tongue-tingling green chili sambal, pineapple salad and crunchy papadams will enhance the taste of your food. The perfect place for lunch. Though it's an old school restaurant, nothing fancy but the food is really delicious. ”

“ Pudu famous non Muslim Indian Curry Rice is one place to go. By the setting, it has been here for decades. The curry is full of flavour and the mutton curry and their fried chicken is simply delicious. There is no hint that it was cook by a non Indian. The place is very tight with limited tables. There is a queue during lunch time hours so make sure you go during non peak hours. Parking here is limited. Do dress casual when you come here. ”

“ My review. Generally it's nice. Similar to Nasi Kandar KOK. I took the mutton ribs. A bit disappointed because it was chewy and lots of tendons. Felt not worth ordering it. Should have just ordered fried chicken. The rude aunty was suddenly very nice to me and started calling me Leng Chai and changed her tone of voice. Lol. ”

“ A chinese take on Indian mixed rice that feels more akin to Nasi Kandar. Placed in the heart of Pudu, parking here is atrocious. I walked over from my office - it will be worse during weekdays on peak lunch hours. There is a line for the food during weekday lunch hours as well - 10-15 mins to line up. Food is tasty, however slightly on the pricy side (but my protein was a fried fish) Their fish curry is very thick, fragrant and flavourful. I recommend to try at least once, will be back again but perhaps will try their chicken instead. Old timer kopitiam charm so the ambience is as such - not a problem for me but it may be slightly warm during these peak summer season. ”

“ Pro-tip: Arrive before 12 PM to avoid the massive queue! This is a unique find: a Nasi Kandar stall run by a Chinese family. Their curry fish head, fried chicken, and sambal sotong are legendary—order them! ”

“ 1st here, this is Chinese cooked nasi kandar. Shop is located in one of the old Pudu shop lot, it's old school no frills but quite airy & bright. The curry is very flavorful, rempah somewhat towards Chinese side, fried cken is very fragrant & well marinated, could b better if warm. 8.5/10 ”
